Quarterback chase still open at Montana

As the Montana football team wraps up its final preseason scrimmage of the year on Friday, still no word on who will be starting under center.

The Grizzlies will kick off the 2018 season Sept. 1 at home versus Northern Iowa.

If new head coach Bobby Hauck has made his decision, he hasn’t gone public with it just yet – nor has expressed a timeline for when the announcement could be made.

With the departure of previous starter Gresch Jensen last spring, the field’s strongest candidates are junior Dalton Sneed and sophomore Cam Humphrey, both dual-threat quarterbacks looking to bounce back from stints in the junior college ranks.
