He finished seventh in the league in scoring last season at 17.2 points per game, ranked third in assists and eighth in steals.

Fellow Montana guard Michael Oguine joins Rorie as one of six preseason All-Big Sky Selections.

Named the Big Sky Tournament MVP, Oguine finished last season 11th in points and fifth in steals per game. He was also recognized as the league’s defensive player of the year.

Others on the preseason All-Big Sky roster – which is comprised entirely of guards – include Weber State’s Jerrick Harding, Montana State’s Tyler Hall, Northern Colorado’s Jordan Davis and Portland State’s Holland Woods.

The selections were voted on by the Big Sky Conference’s head coaches, sports information directors and media members.

Montana will host its annual Maroon-Silver scrimmage next Tuesday, Oct. 23, followed by an exhibition game Friday, Nov. 2, versus Whitworth. They’ll open their league slate Saturday, Dec. 29, at Northern Arizona.
